Pathogenesis
It attaches to upper respiratory tract and remains there for 3 to 4 days.. Here it causes upper respiratory tract infection.
Than it enters lung, causes pneumonia, respiratory failure and ARDS..
It doesn't causes pulmonary effusion,hilar lymph node enlargement..
Clinical feature

Dry cough
Respiratory distress
Renal failure
Encephalopathy

1 RT-PCR mostly used.
Reverse transcriptase(RT) enzyme converts single stranded rna to complementary DNA.. PCR amplify that and can be detected

Ground glass appearance due to fluid in alveoli
Consolidation due to fluid
Crave paving
3 Other test to rule out other causes..
Treatment
Symptomatic: fluid, oxygen, panadol
Chloroquine 500mg
Remdesivir
No vaccine is available
Prevention
1 frequently hand washing with minimum 20 second
2 avoid contact with patient
3 N-95 mask is recommended for doctor only
4 surgical mask is not recommended in healthy people in non outbreak area..
